It’s PRIDE month, so it’s time to set the most important New Year resolution: to dance more. From now until next June. In the kitchen, taking out the trash, at the train station, in line at CVS, wherever music is playing. May I suggest that dancing unprompted is one of the quickest ways to bring you joy. It is also, wonderfully, the quickest way to make the folks around you smile (or blush with embarrassment).

One of my greatest joys this past month has been convincing Alex to dance with me when we least expect it, be it at Boston’s Pride For The People or brushing our teeth at night. Even for a raging introvert, I see the smile it brings. Good music lights the soul on fire. It invigorates us. And moving our bodies lets it steep like a good tea.

And thus, I present to you: PRIDE and JOY, a playlist for PRIDE month and beyond. Put it on while you walk, while you cook, while you clean. Click the photo below, hit shuffle, and listen wherever you are. Shake your hips while you do. I promise it’ll bring you just a bit more joy.
